Res 053-94 4/19/1994RESOLUTION NO. RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT TO RENOVATE SEWAGE LIFT STATION NO. 15 AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Mid- State Utilities, Inc . for the renovation of a sanitary sewer lift station, and the original contract amount for the work was 86, 000 . 00; WHEREAS, one approved change order increased the original contract amount to $86, 817 . 52, and the City has paid the contractor an amount of $79, 709 . 34, leaving an amount due for the work of $7, 108 . 18; WHEREAS, the contractor did not finish the job on time, and liquidated damages in the amount of $6, 240 . 00 are being assessed, leaving an amount due to the contractor of $868 . 18; and, WHEREAS, the project is complete, the staff has inspected and found the work to be acceptable, and the Council now desires to accept the project and authorize final payment . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The project to renovate Sewer Lift Station No. 15 is hereby accepted as complete and the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of $868 . 18 to the contractor.
