RESOLUTION AMENDING LEASE OF A PORTION OF WEEKS PARK
TO PERMIT HORSES.
WHEREAS, the lessee of a portion of Weeks Park for
operation of the Funland facility has requested permission
to graze horses; and,
WHEREAS, such grazing by horses will reduce maintenance
expense of that portion of the lease that is at present
difficult to access and not immediately of benefit to the
public; and,
WHEREAS, such grazing will continue until it is deemed
not in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The lease of a portion of parkland to Mr. Foley is
hereby amended to permit horse grazing until it is deemed
not in the best interest of the City.
