RESOLUTION TO APPROVE MODIFICATION TO
UTILITIES SERVICES CONTRACT WITH SHEPPARD AIR
FORCE BASE TO ACCOMPLISH A REGIONAL
WASTEWATER CONNECTION
WHEREAS, the City and Sheppard Air Force Base have completed
negotiations for an agreement whereby the City will construct a
sanitary sewer system to the south perimeter of the fence of SAFB
and receive at that point about 60% of the sewage from the Base
for treatment at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed modification to
the Utility Services Contract between the City of Wichita Falls
and Sheppard Air Force Base to effect the connection of the
Sheppard collection system to the Wichita Falls collection system
and the treatment of SAFB sewage by the City of Wichita Falls .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The said modification is hereby approved, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute the same for the City of Wichita
Falls .
