A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF FFY 1994
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
FUNDS UNDER THE NATIONAL AFFORDABLE
HOUSING ACT OF 1990, AS AMENDED;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has conducted a Public
Hearing on the program description and application for HOME funds;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken public comments given at
this hearing into consideration in amending and revising the
program description and application for HOME funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council considers the provision of decent,
safe, and sanitary housing for low and moderate income persons to
benefit in the revitalization and stability of neighborhoods and
the lives of citizens in Wichita Falls.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply and
receive $490, 000 in funds from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development and the HOME Investment Partnership Program as
indicated in the program description.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that
the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the
public as required by law.
