RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH BIGGS AND
MATHEWS, INC. FOR ENGINEERING CONSULTING
SERVICES TO PERFORM A SANITARY SEWER
EVALUATION STUDY
WHEREAS, the City has been placed under an Environmental
Protection Agency Administrative Order that requires the
prevention of overflows of raw sewage from the sanitary sewer
collection system;
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to conduct a Sanitary
Sewer Evaluation Study to determine the specific problems and
corrective measures that must be taken to prevent the overflows;
WHEREAS, the City requires the services of an engineering
consulting firm to conduct the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study;
and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract to
engage the firm of Biggs and Mathews, Inc . for the purposes
stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with the engineering firm of Biggs and Mathews,
Inc. related to a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study is hereby
approved with an estimated cost of $2, 110, 300 . The City Manager
is authorized to execute the contract for the City of Wichita
Falls .
