RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING FIRM OF CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD,
INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES RELATED TO
CONSTRUCTION OF A BELT PRESS DEWATERING
FACILITY AT THE RIVER ROAD WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS, the City previously has engaged the firm of
Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. to conduct a study of wastewater
solids dewatering and disposal options at the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, Council has reviewed an executive summary of the
published study;
WHEREAS, one of the recommendations in the study is the
construction of a Belt Press Dewatering Facility at the River
Road Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, staff has confirmed this to be an urgent need for
the proper operation of the treatment plant in meeting the permit
requirements of the State and Federal regulatory agencies;
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to engage an
engineering firm for the engineering services related to the
construction of the Belt Press Dewatering Facility; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed a contract proposed by the
staff to engage the firm of Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. for said
engineering services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The said engineering contract with Corlett, Probst & Inc . is
hereby approved with a maximum engineering fee for basic services
of $145, 000 and a maximum fee of $22, 750 for inspection services .
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contract for
the City.
