RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE SOME SPECIALIZED POLICE EQUIPMENT
FROM SEIZED CONFISCATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has
accumulated approximately $212,000 in confiscated seized
money from individuals arrested for narcotics violations,
and
WHEREAS, the state statues of the State of Texas
require that the expenditure of this money be approved by
the governing body for the law enforcement agency, and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined a need
for the purchase of some specialized police equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Police Department is authorized to
purchase the following specialized items from the
confiscated seized funds account: 1. Building Security; 2.
Audio Surveillance Equipment; 3. School on using DrugTrack
Software; 4. K9 Vehicle Insert; 5. Computer Furniture; 6.
Office Furniture & Training Equipment; 7. Officer Training;
8. Civilian Police Academy; 9. Digital Camera System; 10.
Laptop Computers; 11. Camera Equipment; 12. FAX Machine;
13 . Camera & Video Equipment; 14. Laser Radar Units; 15.
Twelve (12) Radios; and, 16. Computer System Upgrade.
