RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE AND OPERATE THREE PORTABLE CELLULAR TELEPHONES
FROM CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION FORFEITURE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has
accumulated approximately $7,000 in Criminal Investigation
Forfeiture Funds; confiscated from individuals arrested for
non-narcotics violations, and
WHEREAS, the state statues of the State of Texas
require that the expenditure of this money be approved by
the governing body for the law enforcement agency, and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined a need
for the purchase and operation of this equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Police Department is authorized to
purchase three (3) portable Cellular telephones and pay for
the normal operating cost of those telephone from this fund.
