A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO WFISD FOR
THE PORTION OF TAYLOR STREET BETWEEN AVE G AND AVE H.;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED
BY LAW.
WHEREAS, WFISD has requested to close the portion of Taylor Street between Avenue G and
Avenue H for the expansion of Zundy Junior High School; and
WHEREAS,the City Council has passed an ordinance closing the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Wichita Falls be and is hereby authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Wichita Falls a quit claim deed for ten ($10.00) dollars and other valuable
considerations to the Wichita Falls Independent School District for that portion of Taylor Street between
Avenue G and Avenue H, more specifically described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point for the Northwest corner of said Block 82, Floral Heights Addition, said point
lies at the intersection of the East right-of-way line of said Taylor Street with the South right-of-
way line of Avenue "G," for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 28° 01' 18" W along the said East right-of-way line of Taylor Street, a distance of 400.01
feet to a point being the Southwest corner of said Block 82, for the Southeast corner of this tract,
said point lies in the North right-of-way line of Avenue "H";
THENCE N 62° 00' 14" W a distance of 60.00 feet to a point for the Southeast corner of the above said
Block 83, Floral Heights Addition, for the Southwest corner of this tract, said point lies in the
West right-of-way line of said Taylor Street;
THENCE N 28° 01' 18" E along the said West right-of-way line of Taylor Street, a distance of 400.02
feet to a point for the Northeast corner of said Block 83 for the Northwest corner of this tract, said
point lies in the aforementioned South right-of-way line of Avenue "G";
THENCE S 61° 59' 55" E a distance of 60.00 feet to the place of beginning and containing 0.551 acres
24,001 square feet) of land.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
