RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR RECOATING OF
WATER STORAGE AND WATER CONVEYANCE FACILITIES
TO TEXAS BRIDGE COMPANY
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for the Recoating of Water Storage and Water Conveyance
Facilities Project, which bids were to be made on a unit price
basis;
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest responsible bidder is
Texas Bridge Company, who bid unit prices with an estimated total
of $450, 000 . 00; and,
WHEREAS, the Contractor has requested a waiver of Resolution
125-85 pertaining to 70% hiring within 250 statute miles so that
he can use his own crews who are specifically and technically
trained and experienced in the complexities of the project .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Such unit price bid of Texas Bridge Company with an
estimated total of $450, 000 . 00 is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute a contract with the City with
said contractor for the stated project . City Council Resolution
125-85 is waived for this project .
