Res 186-94 11/15/1994RESOLUTION NO. t2(0 -(-444 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH A CONSULTING FIRM TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has conducted a Public Hearing on the reallocation of funds from completed or canceled projects from previously approved Community Development Block Grant Final Statement; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has taken public comments given at this and earlier hearings into consideration in amending the Final Statement of Community Development Objectives and Proposed Use of Funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to reallocate $4,000 from a previously approved Final Statement and Proposed Use of Funds for Community Development Block Grant Entitlement funds. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with a consulting firm to complete a feasibility study for a maximum contract price of $6,000. The City will fund this study up to 4, 000 with CDBG funds and Jerusalem Community Development Corporation being responsible for the balance of the contract amount. The study will evaluate the possibility of converting the vacant and boarded up Washington School into apartments for approximately 30 lower income families. SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 15 h day of November .994.
