RESOLUTION TO AWARD BIDS FOR ANNUAL SUPPLY OF
POLYMER FOR WATER AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT
PROCESSES
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for polymers used to treat water and wastewater;
WHEREAS, potential bidders were required to prequalify their
product through prescribed laboratory and plant-scale testing;
and,
WHEREAS, Council has examined a summary of the bids for the
vendors prequalified to submit their product .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid for the annual supply of polymer for water treatment
is awarded to Tony' s, Inc . of McAlester, Oklahoma at the price
0 . 93 per lb. , resulting in an annual estimated cost of $23, 529 .
The bid for the annual supply of polymer for wastewater treatment
is awarded to Applied Specialties, Inc . of Avon Lake, Ohio at the
price of $0 . 16 per lb. , resulting in an annual estimated cost of
23, 200 .
