RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO
TRANSFER FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES OF
CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES FOR THE DIVERSION OF
IRRIGATION WATER TO LAKE WICHITA
WHEREAS, the City, in conjunction with the Corps of
Engineers, is constructing the Holliday Creek Flood Protection
Project; and,
WHEREAS, a new spillway will be constructed as part of the
Holliday Creek Flood Protection Program, which will establish the
spillway elevation at 976 . 0 MSL; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to construct a facility and
purchase flowage easements which will enable water to be
transferred from the Lake Diversion irrigation system to Lake
Wichita for the purpose of maintaining a uniform water elevation
during the summer months .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer $30, 000
from the Street Rehabilitation 1994-1995 Budget for the purposes
of constructing a facility to transfer water to Lake Wichita for
the purposes of maintaining a uniform water level .
