RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE KIWANIS PARK
PLAYGROUND PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT
TO LANTANA SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price
contract with Lantana Services, Inc. with the estimated total cost
of $15, 500 . 10; and,
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of
16, 443 . 16 of which $14, 698 . 87 has been previously paid to the
contractor, and liquidated damages for seven (7) days at $100 . 00
per day for a total of $700 . 00, leaving an amount due of $1, 044 .29;
and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has inspected the work and found it to
be acceptable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Kiwanis Park Playground Project is hereby accepted, and
the City Manager is authorized to make final payment to the
contractor.
