A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS ESTABLISHING AN AIRPORT ZONING BOARD; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 241, requires the establishment of an
Airport Zoning Board if the City has adopted airport zoning regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Planning and Zoning Commission is the
appropriate City commission to regulate land uses in the vicinity of Sheppard Air Force Base/Wichita
Falls Municipal Airport, and is allowed to be appointed as such board pursuant to Chapter 241 of the
Texas Local Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Planning and Zoning Commission is hereby appointed to act in the capacity of
the Airport Zoning Board.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
