A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, EXTENDING THE TIME WITHIN WHICH THE CITY
MUST DETERMINE THE REASONABLENESS OF BASIC CABLE
SERVICE RATES FOR A PERIOD OF 90 DAYS, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ORDINANCE 129-93; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN
TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on August 15, 1994, Vista Cablevision filed with
the City of Wichita Falls FCC Forms 1200, 1205 and 1215, along
with additional information required by the FCC, seeking approval
of its basic cable and service rates; and,
WHEREAS, in order for the City Council to have adequate time
to determine the reasonableness of said rates, it is deemed
necessary to extend the time within which the determination must
be made for a period of ninety (90) days from and after the date
of filing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.The time in which the City Council must
determine if Vista Cablevision's rates are within the FCC rules,
regulations and standards based upon the information contained
within FCC Forms 1200, 1205 and 1215, is hereby extended for a
period of ninety (90) days from and after August 16, 1994.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
