RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT UTILITIES PAINT PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with Jim
Marshall Construction, Inc. for the painting of certain utility
facilities at the East Scott Complex and at Lake Kickapoo;
WHEREAS, the original amount of the contract was estimated
to be $64 , 456 . 56, and this amount was increased by one approved
change order of $3 , 790 . 34 to a final estimated amount of
68, 246 . 90;
WHEREAS, the actual amount of work performed under the
contract was $69, 746 . 90, and the City previously has paid the
contractor $62, 772 .21, leaving an amount due of $6, 974 . 69 . ; and
WHEREAS, the staff has found the work meets contract
specifications and has recommended the Council accept the project
as complete .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to paint utility facilities at the East Scott
Complex and at Lake Kickapoo is hereby accepted as complete, and
the City Manager is authorized to make a final payment of
6, 974 . 69 to the contractor.
