RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT NORTHSIDE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT DECHLORINATION FACILITY
PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
Poteet, Inc. for the construction of a dechlorination facility
at the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original estimated amount of the contract was
162, 748 .45, and one change order was approved during the
progress of the work in the amount of $1, 380 .12, bringing the
final estimated contract amount to $164, 128 .57;
WHEREAS, the actual amount of work accomplished was
163, 116 . 57 and the City previously has paid $146, 804 . 92, leaving
an amount due to the contractor of $16, 311 . 65; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has reported the construction complies
with the design specifications and has recommended that the
Council accept the contract as complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to construct a dechlorination facility at the
Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant is hereby accepted as
complete, and the City Manager is authorized to make a final
payment of $16, 311 . 65 to the contractor.
