Ord 091-86 10/21/1986 0 ORDINANCE NO. ft- ft t ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $61, 600 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO ACCOUNT NUMBER LISTED BELOW FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING PROPERTY FOR THE ATHLETIC COMPLEX AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the purchase of three tracts of land for the multi-field athletic complex; and, WHEREAS, according to the appraised value of the three tracts, additional funds will be required for acquisition and surveying; and, WHEREAS, these costs were unforeseen when the 1986-87 budget was prepared, and it is now in the best interest of the City to proceed with this project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $61, 600 . 00 out of the General Fund Equity to be placed in the following accounts: 11-019-4430 $ 3, 300 . 00 11-019-5110 $58 , 300 . 00 SECTION 2. A growing public necessity exists, and this is an emergency expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen condi- tions which could not, by reasonable, diligent thought and attention, have been included in the 1986-87 budget. The fact that this amount will be due and that it is essential for the immediate use of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency. Therefore, this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
