ORDINANCE NO. 93-86
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING THE
FIFTEEN (15) FEET WIDE, EAST-WEST ALLEY, LYING SOUTH
OF BLOCK 21, HILLCREST ADDITION, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AND RETAINING A UTILITY EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
the closure of the fifteen (15) feet wide, east-west alley,
lying south of Lot 1-B, Block 21, Hillcrest Addition, subject
• to the retention of a utility easement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas deems it advisable and in the public interest to close,
vacate, and abandon the alley hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The fifteen (15) feet wide, east-west alley,
lying south of Block 21, 'Hillcrest Addition, Wichita Falls,
Texas, and bounded on the east by the west right-of-way line
of Bluff Street, and on the west by the east right-of-way line
of Old Jacksboro Highway, is hereby closed, vacated, and
3 abandoned. _
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves the
entire area described in Section 1, as a utility easement for
the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character
of utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone,
television cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewer.
This utility easement shall not be fenced or obstructed in any
manner.
