ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN DEVELOPMENT FEE REQUIREMENTS
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
that certain development fee requirements be amended; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to amend
the development fee requirements hereafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 7650 C,D, and E of the Wichita Falls
Zoning Ordinance is amended to read as as follows:
"C. Administrative Appeals: $ 50 .00
D. Zoning Amendments (Rezoning) :
- Up to 5 Ac. : $150 .00
- More than 5 Ac. : $150 .00+$10.00/Ac or fraction thereof
- Rezoning to PUD: $500 .00+$10.00/Ac or fraction thereof
E. Variance Application: $100. 00
Applications submitted by the City of Wichita Falls shall be
exempt from the payment of fees. "
SECTION 2. Section 5. 1 of Appendix A, City of Wichita
Falls Code of Ordinances (Subdivision Ordinance 2118) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 5. 1 Plat and process fees.
(a) At the time a subdivider applies to the planning
division for approval of a preliminary plat or final plat or
replat, he shall pay to the City of Wichita Falls a fee to
cover the costs of reviewing and processing the plat as
provided below. The area for revised preliminary plats shall
be determined by the area changed from the previous
submission. This fee shall be in addition to other fees
required by the city or county.
Area of Plat Preliminary & Final Plat Fee
Up to 1 Acre - $50. 00
More than 1 Acre - $50 . 00 + $10 per acre or
fraction thereof
Notification plat - $50. 00 in addition to above fees
Plat vacation - $50 . 00

The following type of plats are specifically exempt from the
payment of fees:
1) Plats submitted by the City of Wichita Falls or any of
its departments.
2) Plats submitted by any governmental or public
educational agency.
3) Plats submitted to correct minor drafting errors in
recorded plats.
4) Plats filed for the purpose of dedicating land to the
City of Wichita Falls in which no other subdivision of land is
shown.
5) Replats occasioned by governmental action.
(b) The fee for reviewing and processing a variance or
waiver request shall be fifty dollars ( $50 . 00) .
(c) The fee for reviewing and processing a utility ease-
ment, street, and alley closure or change request shall be one
hundred dollars ( $100 . 00) .
1 (d) The fee for reviewing and processing a street name .
change request shall be five hundred dollars ( $500 . 00) .
(e) The fee for reviewing and processing an annexation
request shall be five hundred dollars ( $500 . 00 ) .
( f) The fee for providing zoning and building encroach-
ment letters shall be twenty-five dollars ( $25 . 00) . "
SECTION 3 . Section 152 of the Wichita Falls Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to add subsection 35 to read as
follows:
"Sec. 152 - 35 Fees.
Flood Damage Prevention Permit: $25 . 00
Flood Plain certification letters: $25 . 00 '
