ORDINANCE NO. 105-86
AN ORDINANCE REZONING APPROXIMATELY 121 ACRES OF
LAND NORTHWEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF NORTHWEST
FREEWAY AND CENTRAL FREEWAY, AND SOUTH OF AIRPORT
DRIVE, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, FROM SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL, LARGE LOT TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL AND
HEAVY INDUSTRIAL ZONES
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
the rezoning of approximately 121 acres of land northwest of
the intersection of Northwest Freeway and Central Freeway, and
south of Airport Drive, Wichita Falls, Texas, from Single-
Family Residential, Large Lot (SF-1) to General Commercial
(GC) and Heavy Industrial (HI) zones; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
Texas, deems that the proposed rezoning of the area hereafter
described is in accordance with the Comprehensive Land Use
Plan and in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Approximately 121 acres of land northwest of the inter-
section of Northwest Freeway and Central Freeway, and south of
Airport Drive (Tracts out of T. Hardy Sur. Abs 367; L.P. Dykes
Sur 580; J.P. Coleman Sur. Abs 823; Hilltop Estates Subd. out
of CCSD & RGNG RR Co. Sur. Abs 525; and R. Brown Sur. Abs 522,
Wichita County, Texas) , shown as the grey shaded areas in the
attached map (Attachment No. 1) , are hereby rezoned from
Single-Family Residential, Large Lot (SF-1) to General
Commercial (GC) and Heavy Industrial (HI) zones.
