ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $4,283.58 FROM
THE SANITATION FUND AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, a break-in occurred at the Sanitary Landfill between
6:00 PM on November 6, 1986, and 6:15 AM on November 7, 1986; and,
WHEREAS, various items were taken during this theft and these
items are needed in the day-to-day operation of the Sanitary Landfill ; and,
WHEREAS, these costs were unforeseen when the 1986-87 Budget was
prepared and is now in the best interest of the City to replace these items.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . There is hereby appropriated the sum of $4,283.58 out
of the Sanitation Fund Equity to be placed in the following accounts:
51-376-4211 $ 1 ,078.18
51-376-5412 3,205.40
SECTION 2. A growing public necessity exists, and this is an
emergency expenditure to meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could
not, by reasonable, diligent thought and attention, have been included in the
1986-87 budget. The fact that this amount will be due and that it is essential
for the immediate use of the City of Wichita Falls creates an emergency, therefore
this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
