AN ORDINANCE CLOSING, VACATING, AND ABANDONING
THE PORTION OF CARRIGAN STREET LYING SOUTH OF
DODGE STREET, AND RETAINING AN EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission has recommended
the closure of the portion of Carrigan Street lying south of
Dodge Street, subject to the retention of a utility easement;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed that the closure of
the portion of Carrigan Street hereunder described is in the
public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The portion of Carrigan Street which lies
south of the south right-of-way line of Dodge Street and
extending south for approximately 150.6 feet is hereby closed,
vacated, and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls hereby reserves a
twenty ( 20) foot wide east-west utility easement abutting and
lying south of the south right-of-way line of Dodge Street for
the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character
of utility lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone,
T.V. cable, power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers.
