ORDINANCE CHANGING THE DATE OF THE FIRST REGULAR
COUNCIL MEETING IN MARCH FROM MARCH 3 , 1987 TO
MARCH 5, 1987 .
WHEREAS, Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances sets the
first regular Council meeting in March on Tuesday, March 3 , but
the majority of the members of the City Council will be in
Washington, D.C. on City business on that date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The date of the first regular City Council meeting in
March, 1987 is hereby changed from Tuesday, March 3 to Thursday,
March 5 , 1987 at 8 : 30 o' clock a.m.
The fact that there are items of City business that need
to be acted on that week creates an emergency, and this ordinance
is declared to be an emergency which shall become effective upon
its passage.
