ORDINANCE WAIVING SECTION 22-1, SUBSECTION
(a) (9) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO ALLOW
THE POSTING OF ADVERTISING MATERIAL.
WHEREAS, the Muscular Dystrophy Association is hosting the
Poker Run on April 26, 1987 , at 8 : 30 a.m. at Lucy Park; the
sponsor for the event is 7-Eleven Stores; and,
WHEREAS, the proceeds from the event will go to the
Muscular Dystrophy Association; and,
WHEREAS, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has requested
a waiver of the applicable ordinances to allow the posting of
advertising material for this event; the City Council finds
that the circumstances involved are exceptional, and that such
waivers should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The provisions of Section 22-1, Subsection (a) (9) of the
Code of Ordinances are hereby waived to allow the posting of
advertising material in Lucy Park on April 26 , 1987 , for the
Muscular Dystrophy Poker Run.
