RESOLUTION APPROVING TRANSFER OF OLD UNCOLLECTIBLE
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE TOTALING $68,540,36 FROM AN
ACTIVE TO DORMANT STATUS.
Whereas, the Director of Finance has recommended
that old accounts receivable which were due before September
30, 1995, be deemed'uncollectible, and that they be removed
from the ledger and be transferred to dormant status.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS. THAT:
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to remove
from the general ledger there hereinafter set out charges
made by the City, which are now deemed uncollectible,
totaling $68,540.36 TO WIT:
Account Title
Water /Sewer /Front Foot $29,556.57
Refuse /Alley
30,093.38
Misc. /Account Receivable 234.84
Participation Paving 8,655.57
Although such accounts receivable are placed on
dormant status, reasonable efforts will be made to collect
these accounts receivable, wither by the City Attorney or by
the City's collection agency.
