RESOLUTION FINDING NO ADVERSE IMPACT ON
HAROLD JONES PARK AS A RESULT OF THE PROPOSED
BROAD/HOLLIDAY ELEVATED EXPRESSWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has examined the
preliminary plans for the proposed Broad/Holliday Elevated
Expressway; and,
WHEREAS, these proposed plans show a foot print of the
proposed elevated expressway of approximately 0.4 acres upon
Harold Jones Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls has determined that the proposed
construction of the Broad/Holliday Elevated Expressway will not
adversely affect Harold Jones Park and that the total affected
park land within the curbs will actually be increased. This
action will have a benefit to the City at-large, and specifically
to the utilization of Harold Jones Park.
