RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT TO INSTALL A NEW
WATER LINE ON JALONIC STREET (CDBG) AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO THE CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City has a contract with Wichita Contractors,
Inc. to install a water line on Jalonic Street;
WHEREAS, the contract was a unit price contract, and the
original estimated amount of the contract was $62,043.00;
WHEREAS, additional quantities were installed and the amount
of work accomplished is valued at $63,630.00;
WHEREAS, we previously have paid the contractor $62,357.40,
leaving an amount due of $1,272.60; and,
WHEREAS, the staff finds the project meets contract
specifications and has recommended that the Council accept the
project as complete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to install a water line on Jalonic Street is
hereby accepted as complete, and the City Manager is authorized
to make a final payment of $1,272.60 to the contractor.
