A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING BID FOR OIL, GAS AND MINERAL LEASE
ON A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF THE R. CARSON SURVEY NO. 74,
ABSTRACT 108, AND R. CARSON SURVEY NO. 173, ABSTRACT 107;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for an oil, gas and mineral
lease on a tract of land in Archer County, Texas, described as follows:
The easternmost 88 acres owned by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, in
the R. Carson Survey No. 174, Abstract 108; and 19.3 acres, being all of
that acreage owned by the City of Wichita Fails, Texas, in the R. Carson
Survey No. 173, Abstract 107.
and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received and opened by the City Council on July 5, 1995;
and,
WHEREAS, Larry A. Godwin has submitted a bid with an Eighty Five and 50 /100
($85.50) Dollar per acre bonus, and two years' paid -up annual delay rentals of One ($1.00) Dollar
per acre; 3/16 royalty; and a three (3) year primary term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT.
SECTION 1. The bid submitted by Larry A. Godwin is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is authorized to execute an oil, gas and mineral lease to said bidder.
SECTION 2. It is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
