A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH WICHITA COUNTY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN
ADDITIONAL 100 ANIMAL STALLS FROM W -W MANUFACTURING
COMPANY, INC., FOR THE J.S. BRIDWELL AGRICULTURAL
CENTER OF THE MULTI - PURPOSE EVENTS CENTER; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, upcoming events at the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural
Center of the Multi - Purpose Events Center will require more
animals stalls than are currently available at the Center; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Board of Directors
of the Multi - Purpose Events Center that the City of Wichita Falls
and Wichita County purchase an additional 100 animals stalls for
the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural Center; and,
WHEREAS, W -W Manufacturing Company, Inc., of Dodge City,
Kansas, was selected to be the supplier for animal stalls and
arena equipment for the Center during the final construction
phase of the J.S. Bridwell Agricultural Center; and,
WHEREAS, in order for the 100 additional stalls to be
compatible to the presently existing stalls, it is necessary to
negotiate the purchase through W -W Manufacturing Company, Inc.,
as this company has been identified as the sole source supplier
for stalls and arena equipment for the Multi - Purpose Events
Center due to the versatility and flexibility in their design
construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls, in conjunction with
Wichita County, Texas, a contract with W -W Manufacturing Company,
Inc., for the purchase of 100 additional animal stalls, the same
to be compatible to the ones presently installed at the J.S.
Bridwell Agricultural Center, for use in said Center.
SECTION 2. The cost for the purchase and installation of
said stalls shall be $42,183.00.
SECTION 3. It is officially found and determined that the
meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the
public as required by law.
