RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID TO RHODE CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 1994 -95
BUDGET UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids
for the construction of the 1994 -95 Budget Utility Improvements
Project, which bids were to be made a unit price basis;
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder is Rhode Construction
Company who bid unit prices with an estimated total of
$419,675.25;
WHEREAS, the City and Rhode Construction Company have agreed
to withdraw four bid items from the project with a total value of
$73,754.50, leaving an estimated total of $345,920.75 for the
remaining items; and,
WHEREAS, with the adjustments, there is no change in the
relative bidding position of the three apparent low bidders and
Council does find the lowest responsible bidder to be Rhode
Construction Company who bid unit prices on the remaining bid
items with an estimated total of $345,920.75.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Such unit price bid of Rhode Construction Company for the
adjusted bid items with an estimated total of $345,920.75 is
hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction
of such project.
