A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE NORTH TEXAS REGIONAL
DRUG ENFORCEMENT TASK FORCE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has applied for and
received funding from the Criminal Justice Division,
Governor's Office, for the Sixth Year Operation of the North
Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task Force, and
WHEREAS, the North Texas Regional Drug Enforcement Task
Force has proven to be an effective weapon in combating drug
offenses in the North Texas area, and
WHEREAS, law enforcement agencies at the Municipal and
County level in the North Texas region desire to participate
in this enforcement project and enter into mutual aid
agreements to facilitate this endeavor,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor of the City of Wichita
Falls is hereby authorized to enter into agreements with the
County of Knox, the City of Munday, and the City of Knox
City for participation in the North Texas Regional Drug
Enforcement Task Force.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and
determined that the meeting at which this resolution was
passed was open to the public as required by law.
