RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH JOHN DAUGHERTY AND EDGAR SHOCKLEY FOR A PORTION OF
WEEKS PARK KNOWN AS FUNLAND.
WHEREAS, Funland, Inc., former holder of a lease of a
portion of Weeks Park known as Funland does not wish to continue
operation of the facility, and,
WHEREAS, John Daugherty and Edgar Shockley purchased the
rides from Funland, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a six month
lease with John Daugherty and Edgar Shockley for the purpose of
removing rides and other structures from the park.
