RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS FOREST
SERVICE FOR A MATCH TREE GRANT.
WHEREAS, it is desirable to plant trees in City parks
and medians; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Forest Service has announced the
invitation to apply for match grants for urban tree
planting; and,
WHEREAS, the City has sufficient funds and labor to
guarantee it's match of the problem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for a
matching grant of $10,000.00 to the Texas Forest Service.
The City certifies to it's match of funding of $10,000.00
and in -kind labor.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 7th" ay of Feb 1995.
