A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
CONTRACT WITH THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION TO
PURCHASE TWO TRANSIT VEHICLES AND A GARAGE EXHAUST
SYSTEM, TO FUND PLANNING ACTIVITIES, AND TO FUND OPERATING
ASSISTANCE THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1995; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas recognizes that transit operations provide a
necessary service to the citizens; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of Wichita Falls, Texas desires to continue participation in the urban
area formula grant program as authorized by 49 USC § 5307 to provide transit services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION i. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the necessary agreements in behalf
of the City.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this resolution
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
