RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH JOHN DORSEY AND
ASSOCIATES TO CONDUCT A MANAGEMENT
INFORMATION SYSTEM STRATEGIC PLAN
WHEREAS, decisions must be made as to whether to invest in
existing computer systems or replace these systems with newer
technology, and
WHEREAS, funds are included in the 1994 -95 budget to hire an
independent consultant to assist the City in making such
decisions, and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited to conduct the study and
prepare a management information system strategic plan for the
City, and
WHEREAS, a staff committee evaluated the proposals, made
reference calls, and conducted interviews with the most appealing
proposals, and
WHEREAS, the committee's unanimous recommendation was to
hire John Dorsey and Associates to prepare the plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with John Dorsey and Associates to prepare a Management
Information Systems Strategic Plan. A copy of the contract is
attached hereto and made a part of this resolution.
