RESOLUTION AMENDING CONTRACT WITH THE Y.M.C.A. TO PERMIT
EXTENDED RESERVATION SERVICE.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Y.M.C.A. has requested
extension of their permit to issue ballfield practice
reservation permits from March 15 to March 1st; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed this would increase the service
available to the citizens utilizing public ballfields.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract executed May 26, 1992 between the City and
the Y.M.C.A. is hereby amended as follows:
Section 1 shall read:
1. City hereby grants to Y.M.C.A. a license to
utilize eleven (11) ballfields located in Jaycee and Kiwanis
Parks to conduct its youth /parent baseball program. These
fields are Jaycee 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: and Kiwanis 1, 2, 3,
and 4. The license term is April 20, 1992 through August 8,
1992 and the same approximate dates through 1996. The
license hereby granted is not exclusive, but grants to
Y.M.C.A. the right to extended reservation periods not
normally available to the general public, providing
participation is open to all City residents meeting Y.M.C.A.
registration requirements. Further, the City further grants
to the Y.M.C.A. authority to issue practice ballfield
reservations on these fields from March 1 -April 24 and these
same dates each year of this license. The same rules of
reservation shall be followed as used by the City or
otherwise as approved.
