RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING OF
THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON MAY 9, 1995
AT 8:30 A.M. TO CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE
MAY 6, 1995 GENERAL /SPECIAL ELECTION HELD
IN WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls
adopted Resolution No. 16 -95 on February 7, 1995 calling for
a Regular City Election and Ordinance No. 26 -95 and
Ordinance No. 27 -95 calling for a Special Election to be
held on May 6, 1995.
WHEREAS, the Texas Election law requires that a canvass
of election results be conducted not earlier than the second
day or later than the sixth day after election day, and
WHEREAS, the next regular scheduled City Council
meeting of the City of Wichita Falls falls later than the
sixth day after election day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
That a Special Meeting of the City Council be held on
May 9, 1995 at 8:30 a.m. to canvass the returns of the May
6, 1995 City Election.
Section 1. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was
open to the public as required by law.
