RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF THE GENERAL/SPECIAL
ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ON MAY 6,
1995.
WHEREAS, at a special meeting of the City Council of the
City of Wichita Falls, held in the Memorial Auditorium Building
on the 9th day of May, 1995, there came on to be considered the
return of the General Special election held on the 6th day of
May, 1995; and,
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, after canvassing the returns of said
election, it was found to be duly and legally held in all
respects, and that 14,419 voters voted in said election, and that
votes were cast as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 2. Said election was in all respects legally held
in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter
and ordinances of the city of Wichita Falls; that
J. Don Johnston was duly and legally elected Councilor At-
Large; Dan A. Shine was duly and legally elected Councilor
District 1; Angus B. Thompson — was duly and legally elected
Councilor District 2, and Proposition "Repeal of Smoking
Ordinance No. 152-9411 Failed I Proposition No. 1 passed —1
Proposition No. 2 Failed Proposition No. 3 Failed and
Proposition No. 4 Passed
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined
that the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to
the public as required by law.
