A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE NORTH TEXAS
REGIONAL NARCOTICS GRANT /6 GRANT AWARD; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Criminal Justice Division, Governor's
Office has notified the City of Wichita Falls that a grant
award in the amount of $388,130.00, designated at North
Texas Regional Narcotics Task Force /6 has been awarded to
the City of Wichita Falls, acting as coordinating agency,
and
WHEREAS, $291,097.00 in federal funds are being
provided for this project cash match in the amount of
$97,033.00 has been met through drug forfeiture monies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept said grant award on behalf of the City of Wichita
Falls and to sign the acceptance notice as the City's
authorized official.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and
determined that the meeting at which this resolution was
passed was open to the public as required by law.
