RESOLUTION TO APPROVE TENTH AMENDMENT TO
WATER PURCHASE CONTRACT FOR THE TOWN OF
PLEASANT VALLEY
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and the Town of Pleasant
Valley entered into a Water Purchase Contract dated April 9,
1968, and there have been nine amendments to the contract;
WHEREAS, the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission
requires the Town of Pleasant Valley to have a contractual
obligation for a rate of flow from the City of Wichita Falls of
at least 0.6 gallons per minute per connection;
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the Town of Pleasant Valley has
requested a contract amendment for this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, the Council examined a proposed Tenth Amendment to
the Water Purchase Contract between the City and the Town of
Pleasant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Tenth Amendment to the Water Purchase Contract between
the City of Wichita Falls and the Town of Pleasant Valley to
provide for a maximum authorized daily purchase rate of at least
0.6 gallons per minute per connection is hereby approved, and the
City Manager is authorized to execute the same for the City.
