RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WICHITA FALLS POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO PURCHASE SOME SPECIALIZED POLICE EQUIPMENT
FROM SEIZED CONFISCATED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Police Department has
accumulated sufficient seized money from individuals
arrested for narcotics violations, and
WHEREAS, the state statues of the State of Texas
require that the expenditure of this money be approved by
the governing body for the law enforcement agency, and
WHEREAS, the police department has determined a need
for the purchase of some specialized police equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Wichita Falls Police Department is authorized to
purchase the following equipment from the confiscated seized
funds account: Multi-media laptop computer with necessary
software and attachments to conduct training and educational
programs. Approximate cost of the equipment is $3, 406.00.
