RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT SOLIDS DEWATERING AND
STAGING FACILITY PROJECT AS COMPLETE AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO CONTRACTOR
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has a contract with
Gracon Construction Company for the construction of the Solids
Dewatering and Staging Facility at the River Road Wastewater
Treatment Plant;
WHEREAS, the original contract amount of $1, 297, 840 was
increased by two approved change orders to a final contract
amount of $1, 306, 925;
WHEREAS, the City previously has paid the Contractor
1, 241, 578 . 75, leaving an amount due before liquidated damages of
65, 346 .25; and,
WHEREAS, the staff has found the project meets
specifications and has recommended the Council accept the project
as complete .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The project to construct a Solids Dewatering and Staging
Facility at the River Road Wastewater Treatment Plant is hereby
accepted as complete, and the City Manager is authorized to make
a final payment of $65, 346 . 25 to the Contractor.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 17th day of September, 1996 .
