RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING FIRM OF BIGGS & MATHEWS, INC. FOR
PHASE II SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is under an EPA
Administrative Order for improvement to the sanitary sewer
collection system;
WHEREAS, the work to be accomplished for the improvements
was identified in a 1995 Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study, said
work to be accomplished in three rehabilitation phases plus
additional phases for expansion projects;
WHEREAS, Phase I of the total project has been awarded to
contractors for construction, and the City now desires to begin
the engineering planning and design for the Phase II
rehabilitation projects;
WHEREAS, the engineering firm of Biggs & Mathews, Inc . of
Wichita Falls, Texas developed the Sanitary Sewer Evaluation
Study and is well qualified for the Phase II engineering
services; and,
WHEREAS, Council has considered a proposed contract with
Biggs & Mathews for the said engineering services .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The contract with Biggs & Mathews, Inc. to provide
engineering services for Phase II Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Project is hereby approved with a maximum base fee of $201, 293
and a known additional fee of $16, 500 for a Flow Monitoring
Assessment Plan. The City Manager is authorized to execute the
contract for the City of Wichita Falls .
