RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE LANDFILL FINAL COVER
CELL X AND WET CELL PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL
PAYMENT TO JENNINGS CONSTRUCTION, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered a unit price
contract with Jennings Construction, Inc . with the estimated total
cost of $129, 542 . 10 and,
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of
127, 081 . 23 of which $113 , 139 . 61 has been previously paid to the
contractor, $1, 800 . 00 was charged to the contractor for repeat
material testing and $9, 600 . 00 was deducted for appropriate
liquidated damages, leaving an amount due of $2, 541 . 62 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Landfill Final Cover Cell X and Wet Cell Project is hereby
accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final payment
to the contractor.
