A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING CHANGES TO THE CITY'S
FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYER PROGRAM; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY
LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls administers a First-Time
Homebuyers Program for the benefit of low and moderate income
homeowners; and
WHEREAS, the increasing closing costs necessitate a change in
the parameters of the program guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the total maximum amount of assistance for the
FTHB is $3, 000. The program will provide one-half of the downpayment
up to $1, 000, and the buyer's closing costs, minus prepaids, up to
2, 000.
SECTION 2. The effective date of the change is August 1, 1996.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that
the meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the
public as required by law.
