A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH HABITAT
FOR HUMANITY OF WICHITA FALLS, INC.,AN ELIGIBLE
COMMUNITY HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
ORGANIZATION (CHDO) AS DEFINED BY FEDERAL
REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE HOME INVESTMENT
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
COMMITTING THE 15% SET-ASIDE OF $73,500 FROM
THE 1994 FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR HOME FUNDING
AUTHORIZATION TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IN
ELIGIBLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS,The City of Wichita Falls acting as a Participating Jurisdiction under the HOME
Investment Partnership Program grant must allocate 15%of its 1994 Federal Fiscal Year funding
amount to a qualified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) ; and,
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls, Inc. has been designated as a qualified
CHDO eligible to receive HOME set-aside funding for use in approved housing development
activities;and
WHEREAS, Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls, Inc. has applied for fiscal year 1994
CHDO funding and has submitted plans for an eligible use for such funds.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS,TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Habitat for
Humanity of Wichita Falls, Inc.; such contract describes the responsibilities of Habitat for Humanity
of Wichita Falls, Inc. as a Community Housing Development Organization and awards $73,500 to
Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls, Inc. from 1994 Fiscal Year HOME Investment Partnership
Program Funds.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
