RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, REAFFIRMING THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS ' EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AND AFFIRMATIVE
ACTION PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has had in effect for a
number of years an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative
Action Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the latest revised edition of such plan is dated
April 1996; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls
desires to reaffirm its commitment to such plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1 . That the City of Wichita Falls does hereby
reaffirm its commitment to the policies of its Equal Employment
Opportunity and Affirmative Action Plan, as revised April 1996,
to insure equal opportunity in employment for all persons and to
provide to the maximum extent possible the same employment,
placement, training, promotion and salary opportunities without
regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age,
disability, veteran status (Vietnam-era or disabled) , or
political affiliation, and to promote full realization of equal
employment opportunity through its continuing affirmative action
program that is an integral part of the total personnel
management program.
SECTION 2 . That the City Manager be and is hereby directed
to post a copy of this resolution in all City facilities which
are visited by the public.
SECTION 3. It is hereby found and determined that the
meeting at which this resolution was passed was open to the
public as required by law.
