RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CONTRACT WITH
ENGINEERING FIRM OF CORLETT, PROBST & BOYD,
INC. FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
PHASE SERVICES FOR STRUCTURAL REHABILITATION
PROJECT AT THE JASPER STREET WATER TREATMENT
PLANT
WHEREAS, a recent structural analysis of the Jasper Street
Water Treatment Plant has revealed several structural
deficiencies that need correction;
WHEREAS, the work is scheduled to be accomplished in the
winter of 1996-97 during the low demand season and during the
time the Jasper Plant will be closed for the McGrath Creek Flood
Control Project;
WHEREAS, the City needs to engage an engineering firm to
perform the required engineering design and construction phase
services for the project; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has examined a proposed contract with
the engineering firm of Corlett, Probst & Boyd, Inc. for the
stated purpose .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The engineering contract to engage Corlett, Probst & Boyd,
Inc . for the engineering design and construction phase services
required for the rehabilitation of the Jasper Street Water
Treatment Plant is hereby approved with a maximum cost for the
base engineering services of $27, 950, and the City Manager is
authorized to execute a contract for the City.
